The Glema Mahr Center for the Arts is located on the campus of Madisonville Community College. The statue in front of the center is called “Rejoicing” and was made by Karl Jensen. It was purchased by Rush Hunt in honor of his wife Barbie Hunt and her service as the first Executive Director of the center; its installation and dedication was in early 2021.The auditorium, renovated prior to the Spring 2022 Season, seats 929.The balcony, up 34 steps, contains 219 of those seats.For Coffeehouse and Chamber Music Series performances, the Glema stage is transformed into an intimate venue, seating up to 180 patrons.Patrons attending Community Dinner Theatre performances enjoy a meal in the gallery prior to being seated in the auditorium for the show. The Anne P. Baker Gallery is located inside the Glema Center. With no permanent collection, the gallery hosts six to eight exhibits each season. Gallery hours are 10am to 4pm, Monday through Friday, with extended hours on Glema Center event days. Gallery admission is free.
