April 13-July 13, 2025
The Anne P. Baker Gallery will house “Carryin’ on the Tradition XIII,” the 13th bi-annual quilt show by the Piecemakers Quilt Club of Hopkins County, from April 13 through July 13, 2025. The community is invited to attend an opening reception on Sunday, April 13, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
The exhibit will consist of traditional quilts made by local quilters, and the designs are as varied as the skilled quilters creating them. Members of the Piecemakers of Hopkins County invite the public to view their work and learn not only about the growing and evolving art of quilting, but also about the activities of the club.
The exhibit will feature group projects as well as individual pieces, using both commercial patterns and unique designs by Piecemakers members. Special displays will include community service projects like baby quilts made for Baptist Health Deaconess Neonatal ICU, Build-A-Bed quilts for school aged children, and Quilts of Valor made for our veterans touched by war.
The Anne P. Baker Gallery is located inside the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts on the campus of Madisonville Community College at 2000 College Drive. The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended hours on Glema Center event days. Gallery admission is always free.
