Glitter, Glisten, and Glow Returns to the Glema

December 2-20, 2024

Madisonville, KY – November 16, 2024 – The Glema Center and the MCC Lions Club have once again partnered to present “Glitter, Glisten, and Glow,” a sparkling collection of Christmas trees and wreaths each uniquely decorated by members of local organizations.

The display will be lighting up the Anne P. Baker Gallery throughout the first three weeks of December, providing a festive atmosphere as the Glema Center hosts a variety of seasonal events including The Children’s Nutcracker, the MCC Singers Community Christmas Concert, choir and band performances featuring MNHHS and JMMS students, and the YMCA Christmas Dance Showcase.

Viewers are invited to cast votes for their favorites from December 2 through December 13; awards will be presented on the evening of December 13 at the MCC Singers Community Christmas Concert. This event—featuring the MCC Singers, the MNHHS Chamber Choir, a wind ensemble, a handbell choir, and more—is free and open to the public and will be immediately followed by a holiday open house in the gallery.

The Anne P. Baker Gallery is located inside the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts on the campus of Madisonville Community College. The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended hours on Glema Center event days, including December 5, 9, 13, 17, and 19. Gallery admission is free.
